95.7 The Vibe’s Big Break Official Rules

A complete copy of these rules can be obtained at the offices of KCHZ, Cumulus Media Partners, 5800 Foxridge Dr. , Mission , KS 66202 during business hours Monday – Friday or by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to the above address.

No purchase necessary. No purchase required to enter or to win.

Must be 18 or older to participate.

All contests are open to the general public except for employees, agents, subsidiaries and affiliates of KCHZ, Cumulus Media Partners, participating sponsors, their immediate families, and household members.

An individual may win an on-going contest only once per 30 day period unless otherwise specifically stated. An individual may win other seasonal or one-time contests only once for the duration of the contest.

Management reserves the right to change the rules at any time.

The contest will begin April 7th and run through May 12, 2008 .

There will be one grand prize for this contest. The grand prize winner in the singing category of the competition will receive $1000 in cash , a cd demo recorded at location (TBA), and the chance to perform at the Vibe Sessions remaining in 2008.

• Listeners are invited to attend the auditions to try out for the Vibe’s Big Break. The contest is searching for one grand prize singer. Auditions are from 10a-5p on the following dates: 4/12 and 4/19. Locations for the auditions are (4/12) Stanford’s Comedy Club, (4/19) The Beaumont Club. Registration for the auditions takes place from 10a-11:30a. Auditions run from 12( Noon )-3p. Contestants must be registered by 11:30a to be eligible for that day’s audition. A person can audition more than once if they don’t get selected as a semi-finalist at their audition round, but they must abide by the registration rules.

• Auditions will consist of three rounds and are subject to change due to crowd turnout. Round 1 (one) – Each contestant will be allowed to perform 15 seconds of a song* of their choice. Contestants will be judged on Overall Style, Vocal, Performance, and Marketability/Personality. Contestants will be eliminated based on the judges’ decision; judges’ decisions are final. Round 2 (two) – Each contestant will also be asked to perform 30 seconds of the song* of their choice. Contestants will be judged on Overall Appearance, Originality, Performance, and Marketability. Contestants will be eliminated based on the judges’ decision; judges’ decisions are final. Round 3 (three) – Approximately 25 contestants will be allowed to perform one song* (no longer than 1 minutes). Performance lengths will be determined by the judges. Contestants will be judged on Overall Style, Vocal, Performance, and Marketability/Personality. Contestants will be eliminated based on the judges’ decision; judges’ decisions are final. After the third round of judging, approximately the top 10 to 15 singers will advance to the semifinals.

*All songs performed must be radio friendly and not contain obscenities. If an obscenity or vulgarities are voiced the performer is disqualified. NO EXCEPTIONS.

• Semifinals will take place from 6p-11p on Sweet Lenny’s show April 28 th to May 2nd, 2008 at the 95.7 the Vibe studios in Mission , KS . The winning singers from the audition rounds will be assigned a night to come to the Vibe studios and try out live on the air. Each singer will be given one minute to perform live on the radio to win their way into the finals. At 10pm , listeners will be invited to go online to www.957thevibe.com and vote for their favorite performer of that evening. The online voting will begin after the last performer has finished and will remain open until 12 Noon the following day. Each person can only vote once per voting period. The top 10 vote getters from the online voting as of May 3 rd, 2008 of competition will get to compete in the Vibe’s Big Break Finale. The morning of May 5 th, 2008 , Shorty and the Boyz morning show will announce the winners at 7:20am . In case of a voting tie, station management will determine a winner. All decisions are final.

• The Finale will take place the evening of Monday, May 12, 2008 at America ’s Pub in Westport . The final show will consist of approximately ten singers. The order of performance will be determined by a random drawing. Singing contestants will be allowed to perform two songs of their choice* (can be an original or a cover song). All contestants will be given three minutes to perform. Contestants will be judged on Overall Style, Vocal, Performance, and Marketability/Personality. Grand prize winners in each category (singing) will be determined by judges’ decision; judges’ decisions are final.

• All submitted and performed material becomes the property of KCHZ–FM.

• Employees of Cumulus Broadcasting and all participating sponsors and venues and their immediate families are not eligible to participate

• All judges’ decisions are final.

• Semifinalists understand that they will be required to travel and participate in the semifinal round at the 95.7 the Vibe studios ( 5800 Foxridge Dr. Ste. 600 – Mission , KS 66202 ) the week of April 28 th to May 2nd, 2008 between the hours of 6p and 11p.

• All Local, State, Federal, and/or other taxes, duties, tariffs, title fees, licensing fees, or other fees for prizes awarded become the sole responsibility of the winner. All those who win a prize/prizes valued at over $600 will be issued an IRS form 1099 to report their winnings.

• All prizes are awarded “as is.” Prizes are nontransferable and cannot be exchanged.

• The station shall not be responsible for the failure of participating sponsors to deliver prizes as promised.

• All entrants and winners agree that the station, Cumulus Media Partners, and their affiliates, shall have no liability and shall be held blameless for any injury, misfortune, or damage to either persons or property insured by entering, participating in, winning, or losing any contest by use or non-use of any prize received.

• All prizes must be claimed in person at the station during regular business hours and within 10 business days of winning, excluding holidays. After such time, ownership of said prize reverts back to the station to be disposed of at their discretion. The winner then loses all claims and rights to said prize.

• Proper identification must be presented to claim prize. Winners will be asked to fill out a Winner’s Affidavit and Release and a W-9 tax form.

• All entrants and winners agree that the station may broadcast or publish their name, city of residence, photo, video tape, film or any other likeness, including their voice, recorded or live, for any reason the station deems necessary without compensation. All entrants further agree to hold the station blameless and without liability for such publication broadcast or use.

• KCHZ and Cumulus Media Partners reserve the right to change any of this promotion and or the promotional elements and/or right to end a contest at any time without any advanced notice to the public.

• KCHZ reserves the right to require contestants or their representative via written proxy to be present at drawings in order to win their prize.

• KCHZ and Cumulus Media Partners reserve the right to change any of this promotion and/or the promotional elements. Odds of winning are based on the number of entries received.

• Violations of any of these rules or attempts to win any contest by fraud, deception, or cheating shall be grounds for the station to disqualify that individual from participating in all current and future contests and events at the sole discretion of the station, as well as forfeiture of any prize or prizes won by fraudulent means.
